About Me
Sharlyne Carla
Sharlyne Carla Rogers (formerly Sharlyne Thomas) is an award-winning author, inspirational speaker, and professional editor who has served as an intercessor since 2003, edifying the Body of Christ through prayer and exhortation. In addition to being a narcissistic abuse survivor, she has published eight non-fiction books thus far: When Heaven Hears Your Prayer, How Great is Your Faith? I See What You’re Saying! P.E.P. (Prayer + Encouragement = Power), That’s Not God - How to Transition from Religion to Relationship, The Biblical Guide to Critical Thinking, Fear? NOT! and her latest book titled Who Is God to Me? She also utilizes her gifts and talents via Spirit of Excellence Writing & Editing Services, LLC, contributing articles to magazines such as IBA Success and Built to Prosper, updating resumes and bios, and editing and proofreading various copy for a broad range of writers and organizations nationwide. Sharlyne was named Author of the Year in 2013 and Most Likely to Succeed in 2023. She also provides publishing assistance and coaching via Author Advocate Academy.
Sharlyne has been invited to speak and teach at a variety of community and ministry events, including Destined for Destiny Women’s Institute and the Central Florida Mayors’ Prayer Breakfast. She has judged four beauty pageants and been a guest on several radio and TV shows such as WOKB 1680 AM, Rejoice 1140 AM, Point of View on the Afrotainment Channel, and Atlanta Live on WATC TV 57. Expanding her creativity to stage and screen, Sharlyne has ministered with a dance group at the International Pastors and Leadership Conference and acted in a Christian hip-hop video, gospel play, short and feature films, and commercials. She also contributed to the script for The Turnaround movie, which has won and been nominated for multiple awards such as Best Screenplay at the 3rd Annual WideScreen Film & Music Video Festival.
Sharlyne has been featured in publications such as CanvasRebel, VoyageJacksonville, and Bold Journey. She holds an MBA in Management, a BS in Paralegal Studies, and a Woman and Minority Business Certification from the State of Florida. Sharlyne is also a member of Watchmen on the Wall Prayer Network, Central Florida Writers & Publishers Guild, and Authors Roundtable of Florida. She is certified in Inner Healing and Deliverance and has completed a group coaching program in Spiritual Warfare, Discipleship, and Abuse Recovery. Born and raised in Southern California, Sharlyne currently lives in Central Florida.
